The Birth of Livn

"One morning I was running late for work. I quickly ran to the fridge to grab some food but sure enough, there was nothing there to eat apart from ready-to-go junk food. I ended up going to McDonalds and immediately regretted it.
I was then determined to find healthy meals to keep in the fridge so I would never be forced to settle for bad nutrition again. I spent weeks trying to find a clean product that was healthy, affordable, timely, and tasty.
I started researching meal replacement shakes as I liked the efficiencies shakes brought, especially in terms of time and money, however, I couldn't find a shake that worked for me. All the meal replacement shakes I found either had crap ingredients or had decent ingredients, but not enough of them to fill me up. With no products on the market that fit my needs, I formulated my own shake. It was love at first taste. I then took some to friends and family and they loved them as well. The shakes I was making were super healthy, way cheaper than buying pre-made meals, and much healthier than a vast majority of pre-made meals on the marketplace. I knew I was onto something.
I started working with top-tier dietitians, doctors, and manufacturers to come up with the perfect formula. The Livn formula took over a year to perfect, but, we never compromised on our ingredients and we successfully made a product that is super healthy, very affordably, extremely time efficient, is great on the environment and oh yeah.... tastes great! High-quality nutrition
At Livn we are passionate about making sure we offer the highest quality nutrition. We use many dietitians, and food scientist to carefully select and source the best ingredients for Livn. We test, including heavy metals test, all of our ingredients to make sure they are up to our standards.Our factories and facilities are also held to the highest standards so you can be sure you are getting premium nutrition.
Balanced Nutrition
We believe that balance is the key to a happy life. We also believe the same is true when it comes to your nutrition. Many fad diets come and go. "Experts" will say "don't eat carbs, only eat fats". Or eat "vegetables but not fruits". The reality is our body needs a lot of nutrients and an adequate amount of calories to thrive and these come from a lot of different food sources. That's why we believe a balanced approach of premium and natural whole foods is the best way to approach nutrition. That's also why we never push that a consumer needs to drink LIVN for every meal. We still think it's very important to cherish and enjoy home cooked meals or going out with friends and family when you can. LIVN was designed to be there for you when it comes to meals that you typically struggle to get proper nutrition for.
Time efficiency
LIVN was made to give people their time back. People spend 638 hours a year cooking and eating (that number doesn't factor in clean up and grocery shopping). Our goal with LIVN was first and foremost premium nutrition. Our second goal was making sure the nutrition came in a format that was as quick and easy to use as possible. If a person replaced one meal a day with LIVN, they would save them over 213 hours per year. We're not saying time is money... but if it was...
Cost efficiency
We at LIVN love to save you money. When establishing LIVN we researched many different formats as to how could get people the most bang for their buck while not compromising on nutrition, the answer was a powder. At LIVN we take real whole foods, dehydrate them, and then grind them into a super fine powder and mix together. This allows us to make and ship at a much lower cost where we can then pass the cost savings on to you. If we were going to go the pre-made meal route (which we considered) then the shipping costs alone to keep the meals cold would drastically increase the price. That is why LIVN is able to offer a complete meal as low as $3.99 whereas a pre-made meal with comparable nutrition would be at a minimum $12.
Helping others
Giving to those less fortunate than us is the heartbeat of LIVN. We are passionate about helping others and cultivating a culture within our community that shares that same passion. We like to find practical solutions to help people. For now that is by donating a meal to a child in need for every meal we sell. Waste Reduction
We believe humans should do as much as possible to reduce waste. That not only pertains to packaging, but food as well. It is estimated that 40% of America's food supply gets thrown away. When food contains moisture, it will go bad, typically within a week. So when people buy food that's not dehydrated, often times it goes bad, then gets thrown out. Since LIVN contains no moisture, it has a shelf life of 1.5 years. Meaning, LIVN waste is minimal.
Eco-friendly
At LIVN we are passionate about being as environmentally conscious as possible. Pre-made meal services not only cost much higher but utilize way more packaging than LIVN. In a recent study it was found that on average a meal delivery services uses 3.7 more pounds of packaging material per meal than its grocery store equivalent.
